It's All NFL All The Time - NFL Draft Picks & Promos!
Betting picks by sports bettors for sports bettors
Woof! An 0-2 week last week has our profits taking a hit down to +.9 units (if bet using 1 unit each time) since the inception of our newsletter.
Overall, UFC 261 is the first card of the year where I haven’t ended profitably with my overall bets. Valentina “The Bullet” is obviously a subscriber to our newsletter — she appeared to take my lack of confidence as motivation. Thankfully, I didn’t struggle as badly as Jessica Andrade did against Valentina Shevchenko.
Currently, we have a 5-5 record after this past weekend but the rebound should be sweet thanks to the NFL Draft this weekend. So many opportunities — I am buzzing with excitement. Be aware, the odds swing early Thursday have been wild.
Official Gaming Today Mock Draft Packs A Punch
The Official GamingToday Mock Draft is out and it has been red hot since its release last week. With more information coming out by the minute, I’m happy to say there are only a few changes I would make.
A few easy changes I would make are the Dolphins drafting the best available pass-catcher when they come up to pick. Slater as the first offensive lineman drafted is on life support (more on this below).
Justin Fields to be drafted by the Patriots was +750 and has plummeted to +250. The Patriots are the favorite to land the Ohio State Quarterback.
Ja’Marr Chase was +105 to be drafted by the Bengals, he is now -150 and even that is too good. He is going to be in Cincinnati according to almost every major source (Schrager, King, Kiper, McShay).
The Bills are attempting to trade ahead of the Jets to grab Travis Etienne according to Todd McShay on the Ryen Russilo podcast. That pick is still available at +200. Etienne to the Bills is a perfect fit I can definitely pat myself on the back there. If the Bills do get him, no other mock drafter — that I have seen — has predicted that.
*Note* you can hedge out of our Matthew Slater first offensive lineman drafted bet +350. He is +250 now on most sites. Unless the Lions make an incredibly bizarre pick at 7, Sewell will be drafted ahead of Slater. You can easily make this a profitable “either way you win” type bet at FanDuel Sportsbook where Sewell’s odds are -390.
2021 NFL Draft Best Bets And Picks
A few more picks and best bets for tonight’s NFL Draft. Now that we have a ton of information at our disposal, we can make more accurate reads. I am staying away from anything Mac Jones/49ers related. Jones went from -300 to be drafted 3rd to -105 and dropping on Thursday. Just because Pat McAfee said Jones isn’t being taken third — just total chaos today.
Best Bet: QB Justin Fields Over 7.5 +110 (DraftKings Sportsbook)
Fields to go to the Patriots is long gone in terms of value. If you followed the Mock Draft from last week and got it at +750 — great work. The Patriots and Panthers have discussed a trade that would have Justin Fields as the Patriots’ main target, according to NFL super reporter Albert Breer. At best it seems he could go 8.
Best Bet: Ja’Marr Chase To Be Drafted By The Cincinnati Bengals -150 (PointsBet Sportsbook)
See above for the explanation. +105 was a bargain and -150 is still a bargain. DraftKings and Fanduel are at -200 on this. The Bengals can grab offensive linemen later, Chase is a special player. The Lions attempted to move up to 4 to grab Ja’Marr Chase — meaning the Lions believe Chase will be a Bengal — and the falcons rejected.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo Signs NY Mobile Sports Betting Into Law
That’s right, Rebecca Hanchett has been all over this story since day one and it is official as of Monday. New York has legalized sports betting and is hoping for a pre-Super Bowl launch. For more on this groundbreaking story and further updates, read here.
NFL Draft Themed Sportsbook Promotions
Last week, PointsBet Sportsbook debuted its first-ever $1,000 parlay competition. It must’ve been successful because they brought it back this week. However, their best promotion of the weekend is a 50% bet match on the NFL Draft (up to $25 free bet). Awesome promotion - I already took advantage.
FanDuel Sportsbook’s promotions are parlay-heavy as always. They offer $25 multi-sport parlay insurance, UFC parlay insurance, and MLB or NBA same-game parlay insurance. Every promotion requires an opt-in and must be 4+ legs with only one leg losing. It’s far from my favorite promotion though.
DraftKings Sportsbook offers their first 50% profit boost for MLB bets this week. Max bet is $50 and requires an opt-in. Solid stuff from DraftKings.
Sports Betting Business Boom Continues: DraftKings Prioritizing Audio And Video
Dan Le Batard is formerly an ESPN reporter and TV show host. He left the company in January 2020 and started his own media company called Meadowlark Media. Fast forward to April 2021 and Meadowlark Media is near the top of the podcast leaderboards and has been given a sizeable contract from DraftKings.
Sports betting in Florida, Connecticut, and Missouri has hit a few snags over the past few days. Not ideal for the industry as the states work with local tribes and interests to bring sports betting to fans in new states.
