GamingToday Playbook: UFC Picks | Fantasy Football Rankings | Olympics Betting
Betting picks by sports bettors for sports bettors
Great week last week for GamingToday, culminating with an interview with PFL CEO Peter Murray. For those of you who missed it, you can check it out right here!
GamingToday has put a huge emphasis on fantasy football content this year. I just put out our wide receiver rankings and sleeper picks so be sure to check that out. We have also had incredible contributions from Travis Pulver and Calli Varner helping us prepare for fantasy football. That section is at the bottom of the page!
The UFC is back this week with a PPV card. This is probably the least anticipated PPV card that the UFC will have put out this year. One title fight fell out due to injury, the main event is an interim title fight, and there is not a ton of name value. However, the sports betting show must go on!. We are here to turn a profit, let’s dive in!
UFC 265 Betting Picks And Analysis
Bobby Green +230 ML and by decision +475 PointsBet
Rafael Fiziev is a beast, without a doubt. But can he really knock out Bobby Green? I haven’t seen enough from Fiziev to warrant such a hefty price, against a legitimate veteran of the sport Bobby Green. Green is bigger, can wrestle, and has solid striking volume. I’ll put my money with what I know, and Bobby Green is very consistent.
Casey Kenney by decision +170 BetMGM
This fight has a decision written all over it. In this one, I would say that Kenney is a much higher-volume striker and probably a better wrestler. He should be more active and win a decision here. Could go either way, but I think Kenney is a play here.
Michael Chiesa +100 DraftKings
Little value on his decision prop, almost took him inside the distance at +270. Chiesa is going to try to wrestle. What scares me for Luque is that he likes playing off of his back. In MMA, that is a difficult task, I do not recommend that to win fights. I want decision in there so I didn’t go inside the distance but Chiesa as a small underdog is a good bet.
Pedro Munhoz +100 DraftKings
Grab this line before it’s gone. Pedro Munhoz is not going to be an underdog much longer. Munhoz is nearly impossible to knock out. Aldo still has much more juice in the tank than I thought, but I’ll take Munhoz for sure.
2-Way Parlay: Ciryl Gane -375 + Kenney/Yadong goes to decision -110
Ciryl Gane is undefeated in his MMA career and his Muay Thai career (21-0 combined). This guy has been untouchable his entire career. Derrick Lewis is the funniest and most fun fighter we have, but don’t tell me he’s going to knock out Gane. He’s fought better strikers than Lewis, who does not add much other than a huge right overhand hook.
