Gaming Today Playbook: TNF Props | UFC 268 | Arizona Sports Betting
Sports betting picks by sports bettors for sports bettors.
Last week was one of the most heartbreaking weeks of sports betting that I have been a part of in years. First, Aaron Jones got into the endzone for his second touchdown (he was in the endzone I don’t want to hear it), which would have cashed our Jones 2 touchdowns +500 bet. Unfortunately, the refs reviewed it and overturned it. Despite there being little to no evidence that he was short. Ugh. .
On Saturday, we were doing pretty well, and we knew that Glover Teixeira was a very tough fight for Jan Blahovich. Well, just 4 minutes away from our Glover Over 2.5 rounds +550 bet that looked perfect early on -- Jan seemed to quit as he was choked out by Glover. That choke wasn’t under the neck; I wonder if Jan was injured, because that wasn’t the Jan we are used to seeing.
Either way, it felt like we were all over those two plays but ran into some tough luck. We are still moving this weekend though…
Overall, if you hit the easy -141 parlay from last weekend you nearly broke even on UFC betting picks. Last week TNF picks were 2-1 so we bring them back this week as well as prepare for UFC 268. We have plenty more to come!
Jets vs. Colts: TNF Player Prop Bets
Jamison Crowder under 61.5 Receiving Yards -115 (DraftKings)
File this into the many ways that I do not believe in Mike White. I am still upset that he killed the last leg of my +520 parlay was the Bengals moneyline. Jamison Crowder has only been over this number once in 4 games.
Ty Johnson Over 12.5 Rushing Yards -115 (PointsBet)
I am very impressed with Johnson’s pass-catching ability. I think they need to use him more and get him involved in the backfield. Michael Carter is solid but he should not command more than a 70% workload. 4 carries should get the job done here for Johnson.
Newsletter Exclusive: UFC 268 Prelim Bets
Nasourdine Imavov Moneyline -115 (FanDuel)
My belief in Edmen Shahbazyan is nearly 0. We have seen him completely gas out after the first round in each of his last two fights. He cannot grapple at all and looked lifeless against Jack Hermansson last time out. If Edmen wins the first round and Imavov is an underdog after round 2 -- live bet Imavov. We have seen Shabazyan quit too many times to trust him.
Ian Garry by decision +425 (PointsBet)
Small bet here but I think the line is too wide. A -400 favorite that is a striker first. If he can’t get Jordan Williams out of there early, he could easily be on his way to a decision. At +425 the value here is excellent!
Bobby Green by decision -115 (FanDuel)
Al Iaquinta has been on a two-year layoff and I am not sure how committed to fighting he really is. He is also a real estate agent (not kidding) and he looked pretty terrible last time out. Bobby Green by decision is one of the better bets on this card.
Arizona Sports Betting - Cardinals Super Bowl Odds Jump
Well, the Arizona Cardinals are tied for the best record in the NFL and Kyler Murray is a few strong performances away from being a top MVP candidate again. Arizona is one of the hottest football states in the country and they are expanding their sports betting options too.
