Gaming Today Playbook: TNF Props | CFB Picks | NFL MVP Odds
Betting picks by sports bettors for sports bettors.
This is my retirement from the San Francisco 49ers backfield. In week 4, Trey Sermon had 19 carries for 89 yards with Elijah Mitchell inactive. Apparently, he fell out of favor and into Kyle Shanahan’s dog house. He only got one carry last week, yuk!
Despite the painfully bad read, - we went 4-4 if you include the Thursday night betting picks. This was our worst week of the season, putting us at 23-13. The record is still good, and the Thursday night football game should be betting friendly.
I released my betting picks for Thursday night but be sure to check out the existing user promos page; there is an opportunity if you agree with my betting pick.
Last week I released an article about account limits and risk management in sports betting. Just wanted to express my appreciation for the outpouring of support for the article. If you haven’t read it yet, it is linked above. Thanks again!
Buccaneers vs. Eagles: TNF Player Prop Bets
Two straight Thursday Night Football sweeps. Can we do it a third time in a row?
Note: The Bucs are 0-10 ATS in their last 10 primetime games. The Eagles have a good pass rush, I hesitate to say that the Bucs will blow the Eagles out. Be on notice before jumping on Bucs -6.5.
Ronald Jones Over 16.5 Rushing Yards -110 (FanDuel)
I know, I know...why are we betting on backup running backs again? This is not the same situation at all, and Ronald Jones is averaging just 20 yards rushing per game. Projection should be higher, closer to 22. I’ll bank on Ronald Jones this evening.
Mike Evans Over 65.5 Receiving Yards
This bet is great for two reasons. Number 1, Rob Gronkowski is out. Number 2, the number is too low. Let’s look at Evans’ last 4 games…
Week 1: 6 Rec. 113 yards, 2 TD
Week 2: 7 Rec. 75 Yards
Week 3: 8 rec. 106 yards
Week 4: 5 rec. 75 yards
This over has hit 4 consecutive times and Gronkowski is out. Evans is Brady’s biggest target. Backing Evans tonight for sure!

Editors Choice: ESPN Gets Wild Card Monday Night Playoff Game
I love Steve Levy and the ESPN crew for Monday Night games. Personally, I wish they had a few Sunday games as well. Although, I understand the value of owning Monday nights.
Interestingly, ESPN is jumping on the bandwagon for the playoffs. The NFL expanded their playoffs to give us an extra playoff game on Monday night. This will reportedly air on ESPNs network rather than ABC.
That and much more on the ESPN Monday Night Playoff Game From Gaming Today’s Dan Holmes.
