Gaming Today Playbook: TNF Best Bets | Risk Management | NFL Week 5 Bonuses
Betting picks by sports bettors for sports bettors.
Another week, another profitable slate of NFL player props!. Overall, we are 19-9 on the year including a glorious 2-0 last Thursday. Total, bettors are up 16.65 units if you tailed all the bets I gave out on regular-season NFL games.
This week, the Thursday night football game is being tagged as the biggest and best Thursday Night Football game in NFL history. The argument is certainly worthwhile, but I don’t see the most betting value here. Check out how I am betting it below!
Lastly, followers of my Twitter account are familiar with the issue that I had with PointsBet a little over a month ago. I jumped deep into the sports betting world to explore one of the industry's most contentious issues. Check that out below; it’s a doozy!
Rams vs. Seahawks Thursday Night Football Best Bets
Last week we were 2-0--can we snag a repeat this week?
Matthew Stafford: Under 38.5 Pass Attempts -110 (PointsBet)
Stafford has only gone over this number 1 time this year. The Seahawks offense has really stuttered, so I think the Rams will lean heavily on the run game to run out the clock. I’ll take the rare under on a player prop.
Rams vs. Seahawks Under 54.5 -110 (PointsBet)
I don’t see the big-time scoring in this game. The Rams defense and secondary are arguably the best in the league. Furthermore, the Seahawks’ offense has really struggled lately. I’ll take the under.
Exclusive: Risk Management vs. Account Limits: Sports Betting’s Future Could Hang In The Balance
Gaming Today readers know I give out weekly betting picks and analyses on a variety of sports. I also place my own bets. In September, I was writing the NFL Futures Awards Betting Picks article.
While writing and researching for that piece, I decided to bet on Najee Harris to lead the league in rushing touchdowns at +3300. My bet was rejected and the line was moved accordingly. I screen-recorded the situation and the video gained traction on Twitter.
I decided to talk to some professional bettors, sportsbook employees, and more to dive into the why. The response I got was overwhelming -- reform could be needed. I pitched a solution while breaking down the problem below.
Existing User Promotions 10/7: PointsBet No Juice Spreads

Editors Choice: Gaming Today’s Chris Gerlacher What The Impending Market Bubble Means For Sports Betting
Do you ever wonder how sportsbooks can afford these wild promotions and expensive merger talks? For instance, DraftKings is attempting to buy United Kingdom sports betting company Entain for $10 billion. How could that be worth the price?
Gaming Today’s Chris Gerlacher breaks down every piece of the sports betting business.
