Gaming Today Playbook: NFL Week 2 | Player Props | States On The Cusp
Betting picks by sports bettors for sports bettors.
NFL player props were a rousing success this weekend. We were 4-2 on our week 1 NFL player props picks, which profited 3 units. Our biggest hit was on Thursday night when Antonio Brown got into the endzone at +200.
There will be more player prop betting picks this weekend and going forward. Sportsbooks have tens of thousands of betting options available. NFL player props are not their top focus, so fantasy football geeks like myself have a serious edge there.
Once the full slate of player props is released by sportsbooks, I will post the full article breaking down every Week 2 betting prop that I like. Check it out on GamingToday.com on Friday!
Giants vs. Washington Thursday Night Player Props
After a 2-1 Thursday night NFL player prop week, we jump into a new game and a totally different game script. New York and Washington have some of the worst offenses in the league. The total is set at just 40.5 which is the lowest of week 2. A tough start for anyone looking to bet on touchdown props.
Saquon Barkley Over 9.5 Rushing Attempts -135 (BetMGM)
The only concern here is whether the Giants will let him loose. Still, the Giants gave him 10 carries last week and he was forced to not play in the 4th quarter as the game got out of hand. If this game is close at all, Barkley should get at least 13 touches.
Daniel Jones Over 20.5 Rushing Yards -110 (FanDuel)
Daniel Jones’ last Thursday night football appearance led to him famously tripping on his own feet en route to what would’ve been a 76-yard touchdown. He’ll be running for his life tonight.
On The Cusp: States Aligning To Launch Sports Betting
We are trending towards a world where every state has legalized sports betting. With that, major states are trying to take bets on the NFL season this year. Those states include Florida, Connecticut, and Louisiana.
Hurricane Ida Delays Sports Betting In The Big Easy
Unfortunately, Louisiana has run into roadblocks on its quest to legalize sports betting. Once expecting to launch in September, Hurricane Ida has thwarted those hopes.

Florida Sports Betting Coming Soon
Florida has been going back and forth with the Seminole Tribe for months. In May they appeared to finally come to an agreement. However, there are two outstanding lawsuits that have pushed back sports betting to at least November 15th in Florida.
