Gaming Today Playbook: MD & FL Sports Betting Struggles | TNF Props | Super Bowl Futures
Betting picks by sports bettors for sports bettors.
This issue of the Gaming Today newsletter features 3 player prop bets to make for tonight’s TNF game between the Patriots and Falcons. One of which is plus money!
Unfortunately, this might be the last time that Florida bettors will be able to cash in big on these player prop bets. I have more on that ominous news below…
There was also a change-up thrown by PointsBet in the existing user promotional side, so make sure you check that out. Lastly, check out our futures market updates that feature the NBA and NFL. We love future bets here at Gaming Today, and I am still holding out hope for Josh Allen to cash our preseason MVP bet…
Ravens vs. Dolphins: TNF Player Prop Bets
Matt Ryan Over 21.5 Completions -115 (BetMGM)
Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan has hit this number in 6 of his last 8 games. This looks like an overcorrection of the horrid game that happened last week for Atlanta. He only had 9 completions on 21 attempts and was benched most of the second half. Let’s throw that game out and back Matt Ryan to complete some passes at home.
Olamide Zaccheaus Under 33.5 Receiving Yards -115 (DraftKings)
Likely my favorite bet on this card. Zaccheaus has only gone over this number once this season. I’m assuming that sportsbooks are putting the number this high because they expect Cordarrelle Patterson to be inactive. If Patterson is inactive, I will quickly put an additional unit on this under.
Bonus: Hunter Henry Over 3.5 Receptions +120 (DraftKings)
The Falcons give up4.77 receptions on average to opposing tight ends. They have not played Travis Kelce or Farren Waller every week either. These are the tight ends they have faced this season…
Dallas Goedert & Zach Ertz
Gronk
Evan Engram
Ricky Seals-Jones
Ryan Griffin
Mike Geisicki
Tommy Tremble
Adam Trautman
Dalton Schultz
At plus money, this is a fine bet. Hunter Henry is the security blanket to Mac Jones, so I’ll take the four receptions; this game will be closer than people may think. The Falcons aren’t as bad as their embarrassing performance showed.

Maryland And Florida Sports Betting Face Opposition
Florida has already been taking bets on mobile devices. Unfortunately, things could be changing on that front. A Florida judge intends on speaking about the legality of the Seminole Compact that gave Florida sports betting. A very ominous reality could be coming to Florida and bets might not be taken for some time.
Gaming Today’s Mary M. Shaffrey has more on the Florida sports betting scene.
From one sports betting struggle to another, this time in the northeast. Maryland sports betting could launch this year, but it’s likely to bleed over into 2022. Still, five sportsbooks were approved for licenses.
Gaming Today’s Rebecca Hanchett has more on who was licensed and when we could expect a launch.
Existing User Promotions 11/18: PointsBet Changes SNF Promo
Each week I search the sports betting market for existing user sportsbook promotions. Sometimes they are awesome and other times they aren’t. Rest assured, you will not miss another “no-brainer bet” ever again.
DraftKings Sportsbook: DraftKings is giving a risk-free TNF same-game parlay up to $25. Much better than the usual $10 that other sportsbooks do. Opt-in at the promos page.
PointsBet Sportsbook: CHANGE ALERT. PointsBet was giving a $20 risk-free bet for SNF. It is now a $10 risk-free bet, only on live bets. Opt-in at promo page.

Future Market Roundup — NBA MVP AND NFL Super Bowl Odds Taking Odd Twists
Super Bowl odds are pretty interesting because the market rarely moves much on single losses. Take the Rams for instance. As Gaming Today’s Kris Johnson stated, they somehow didn’t move at all after getting beat down by the 49ers on MNF.
The Bills are still the Super Bowl favorite. Looking to find the best spot for a Super Bowl bet?
Kris Johnson breaks down the Super Bowl market across the industry.
On the NBA side, Steph Curry is lighting up the league right now and is separating himself as the MVP favorite. The NBA is a narrative league and the narrative is surely Steph Curry is the best point guard of our era.
